I worked for many years as a professor and scholar of communication studies (as Kurt A. Bruder, Ph.D., M.Ed.), exploring the relationship between our everyday interaction and our sense of self.  In this inquiry I ventured beyond the usual sources and methods of conventional social science, consulting the world's wisdom traditions and their procedures for transforming the practitioner's relationship to ego.
By the grace of my Guru, Bhagavan Das, I am now sharing some things that I've learned on this journey with others in kirtans (interactive devotional chanting events) and workshops on spiritually-relevant themes.
I am blessed to live with my beloved wife, Jaishree, and my sons, Bodhi Shankara and Maitreya Aumkara.  They teach me love every day.
